Every year over
Veterans Day weekend,
students from Dana Hills embark on
a six day marine biology excursion along California's central coast. 
Although it is known as the "Monterey Field Study" this trip spans nearly 500 miles  of coastline from Santa Barbara to Moss Landing, California.

The focus of the
Monterey Field Study
is marine biology,  but students gain experience a multitude of science disciplines on this trip  including oceanography, geology, ecology, forestry, and astronomy.
