2008 Exam Dates & Fees

The fee for each AP Exam is $84, with schools retaining an $8 rebate per exam.

* Schools in Alaska must begin the morning exam administration between 7 and 8 a.m. local time and the afternoon exam administration between 11 a.m. and 12 noon local time.

† This exam must begin between 2 and 3 p.m. In Alaska, the exam must begin between 1 and 2 p.m.

You must sign up for the test at your high school or one in your community. The test is administered by high schools, not through test centers. Online registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is not available.

If you want to take the PSAT/NMSQT, contact your own high school counselor or principal to find about registering for the tests; paying test fees; and learning the correct date, time, and location that your school will give the test. Also contact your guidance office for a copy of the Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT to help you prepare.

*Important Information for U.S. Registration Deadlines:

U.S. deadlines apply to students testing in the U.S., U.S. Territories, and Puerto Rico.

Mailed U.S. registration materials must be postmarked by the U.S. deadlines.

On March 1, only the SAT Reasoning Test™ is offered.

Sunday administrations occur the day after each Saturday test date, for students who cannot test on Saturday due to religious reasons.

The Language Tests with Listening are offered in November only.
