WHO:     For all incoming Dana Hills freshmen – Class of 2011
WHAT:    Freshman year at Dana Hills High School begins with a fun and interactive orientation hosted by “Link Crew.”  So, what is Link CrewLink Crew is a freshman transition program conducted by trained student “Link Leaders.”  The program welcomes freshmen and helps them feel comfortable throughout the first year of high school.

What exactly happens at Link Crew Orientation?  Orientation will begin with a general assembly in the gym.  After the assembly, the Link Leaders will lead their Crews of nine to ten freshmen through a series of fun, positive activities designed to help students get to know each other, as well as learn important campus information.  The overall goal of the day is to welcome all freshmen to their new campus and encourage them to think about the journey they will be taking during the coming four years.  *BONUS!!  As an added benefit, finalized class schedules will be distributed to all attendees at the end of the day!  However, freshmen MUST attend the ENTIRE Link Crew Orientation in order to receive their class schedules.

FOLLOW-UP:   Link Crew activities continues throughout the school year, providing social settings for the Link Leaders and their Crews to reconnect and build further relationships outside of the classroom.
