Suggested Classes:

  • College and Career Planning (elective)

  • American Cultures or EITHER AP English or AP US History

  • Seniors English: creative writing is not an option!

  • Higher Level Math or Science as Suggested by College Board

AP Requirements:

 

  • Freshmen not suggested

  • Sophomores may take AP English or European History

  • Juniors must take at least 1 AP class

  • Seniors must take at least 1 AP class

GPA Requirements:

 

  • Freshmen: 2.5 minimum (strict!)

  • Sophomores: 2.75 minimum

  • Juniors: 3.0 minimum

  • Seniors: 3.0 minimum

GPAs will be reviewed each semester and students may be dropped from
AVID for not meeting the GPA requirement.
