Congratulations to the Boys JV Golf team for their fourth straight South Coast League Championship, with a 20 and 0 record.  Teams members:  Addison Devone, Tyler Horton, Shakun Khanna, Jason Lisenbee, Grant Myers, Tyler Adams, Bobby Uchida

 

Any student interested in applying for the position of Student Advisor to the Board and sit on the CUSD School Board as a non-voting member, applications are available now from Mr. Nedler.  Applications are due Friday, May 23.  Interested applicants should have attended at least one board meeting prior to applying.  The next CUSD school board meeting is Monday, May 12 at 7:00 pm at the District Office.

 

Should you be added to the DHHS Wall of Fame?

If you have received 6 Varsity letters and 1st or 2nd team All League recognition in two different sports, you may be eligible.  Please see Mrs. Steinert or Coach Faris in the athletic office.

 

The only new members who will be added to the 2008/09 yearbook staff will be photographers. If you are interested, turn in your application to room 708 or Ms. Evan’s mailbox by the end of today.

The next Key club meeting will be Monday at lunch in room 814.  Please be prompt!

 

All HMO students interested in attending the Mission Hospital field study, please see Ms. Roberts in room 815 for a permission slip.  There are only 24 spots so get your permission slip in immediately.

 

Seniors:  Newspaper’s Last Will and Testament/

College Map forms are in the hands of the senior social studies teachers.  Please return yours as soon as possible.  If you are a senior and you do not have a social science class, you can get a form from Ms. Evans in room 708.

 

SOCSA Seniors:  If you have not received a 2008 SOCSA scholarship application packet, please pick up one from Assistant Principal Dian Johnson’s office.  The deadline for returning the completed application is Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00 pm.    No late submissions.

 

DHHS has been invited to attend the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC in January 2009 and participate in a week long field study with Close Up Washington, DC.  The trip is open to juniors and seniors.  There will be an information meeting on Tuesday, May 13 at 5:30 pm in room 919.

 

Seniors, if you are interested in trying out to give a speech at graduation, please meet for information on Thursday, May 15 at lunch in the ASU office.  Actual speech tryouts will be on Friday, June 6 at 1:00.
